3. Treasurer’s Report

4. Old Business

New Website

  • Scottie Adams reported good progress transferring domains and completing background setup
  • New website will allow designated club members to make updates
  • Goal is more timely and efficient site updates

10 Gun Raffle

  • Approximately $25,000 in ticket sales
  • Gun costs were under $10,000
  • Estimated profit of $15,000
  • Nancy Borden and her team were thanked for their work
  • Woods & Waters will be asked to provide a list of 20 guns for selection
  • Volunteers needed to distribute tickets and collect sales
    • Val Trost volunteered to cover the Saranac Lake area
    • Val will coordinate with Nancy Borden
  • Tickets should be printed by February

Big Buck Contest

  • No entries for the muzzleloader category
  • Club will not need to pay out the $250 prize

Trap & Skeet Shot Net

  • No updates from Paul Smith’s College
  • Project remains long-term
  • NRA grant opportunities should be explored in addition to Paul Smith’s grants

Gate

  • Lock has been removed
  • Gate will remain closed
  • Gate will be left open once snowplow access is required

Federation

  • Last federation meeting was held in September
  • No additional meeting until around Christmas

5. New Business

Pie Sale Volunteers

  • Reminder that volunteers are needed to call members to solicit pies
  • Bob Brown Memorial Pie Sale
    • Date: December 20, 2025
    • Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Location: Coakley’s
    • Pie drop-off: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Volunteers so far:
    • David Aldrich
    • Scottie Adams
    • Ellen Gerdes
  • Pat Brown will distribute posters
  • Sale benefits the club’s children’s programs
  • Suggestion made to have club information and membership applications available at the sale

120th Year Celebration

  • Celebration will coincide with membership renewal time in April
  • Jim Griebsch may have historical film footage
  • Jim volunteered to put together a presentation on the club’s history

Elections

  • New board members are needed
  • Volunteers are encouraged
  • Appointments may be made if necessary

Comments from Audience Members

  • Val Trost thanked the Board for allowing her to rent the hall
  • Reported guests were impressed with the cleanliness and improvements to the club
  • Liability insurance costs:
    • No alcohol: $200
    • With alcohol: $500
    • Rates vary if tied to personal insurance
  • Tom Cleator reported:
    • Board voted that one week’s notice is required for hall rentals
    • Exception may be made for emergency situations
