Hunting Regulation Changes
Are you aware of the changes to the hunting regulations to increase the harvest of anterless deer? DEC recently adopted new hunting regulations in an effort to increase the harvest of anterless deer.
Under the new Earn-A-2nd-Buck system, all hunters will receive a first Antlered Deer Tag which can be used during any season (with appropriate privileges), except the September antlerless deer season. Hunters who harvest and report an antlerless deer using a valid tag (DMP, Bow/Muzzleloader Antlerless Deer Tag, Deer Management Assistance Program Tag, etc.) will be eligible to receive a second Antlered Deer Tag, which can also be used during any season (with appropriate privileges), except the September antlerless deer season.
To earn a second Antlered Deer tag, you must harvest an antlerless deer using a valid tag and report it.

Lake Placid Fish & Game Club 30-Yard Off-Hand Shoot
We would like to recognize our members who participated in the Lake Placid Fish & Game Club 30-Yard Off-Hand Shoot. In the rifle division, Saranac Lake Fish & Game Club Lifetime Members John Skiff and Wayne Granish tied for second place, leading to a tense shoot-off. Each got just one shot on target with John putting his shot squarely in the bullseye.
